Job Title: Material Expediter - Ammunition Supply Point (ASP)

Location: Fort Rucker - AL


Reports to: Vanquish Supply Manager








Position Summary


Coordinates and expedites flow of material, ammunition, and explosives within the Ammunition Supply Point in accordance the Army Supply Systems outlined in AR 710-2, DA Pamphlet 710-2-1 and AR 19-11 as well as possess the following munitions handling certifications.





Essential Functions

Examines a variety of ammunition/ammunition-related components, expedites demilitarization of ammunition/ammunition-related components, conduct research to determine demilitarization requirements and keeps related records, reviews production schedules inventory reports, and be capable of being appointed as an inspector.
In handling unusual non-routine problems, this worker receives specific guidance from supervisor or other officials (QASAS).
Examines material delivered to production departments to verify if type specified; may monitor and control movement of material and parts along conveyor system, using remote-control panel board.
Operational skill and knowledge of the automated systems utilized
Thorough knowledge of analytical techniques and causative research skills to identify areas of needed emphasis to recommend improvements
May move or transport material from one department to another, using hand truck or industrial truck. Operate forklifts capable of lifting 2,000 to 15,000 pounds to move materials in the process of demilitarization
Must be familiar with manual and computerized filing systems. May update and maintain inventory records, using computer terminal.
Minimum Requirements




Must be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling loads up to 60 lbs. Must be able to climb, crawl,


stoop, bend, squat, and reach as required to work on equipment.


Maintains certifications for Ammo-45 Intro to Ammunition, Ammo-68 Military Munitions Rule, Ammo-


64 Class V Issue Turn-In and Residue Processing, Ammo-67 Hazardous Familiarization and Safety


Transportation, as well as holding/maintaining Ammo-62 certification.


Ensure that all tasks are performed safely and meet Government/Army standards when applicable.


Wearing safety items of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) e.g. gloves, safety shoes, protective


eyewear, hearing protection, and other items such as aprons or outerwear as appropriate.


Applicant must also possess and be able to maintain Secret Clearance.


Perform other duties as required to support the mission and contractual requirements.





General Requirements





Excellent written and oral communications skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.


Excellent attention to detail.


Ability to complete and prioritize tasks on multiple concurrent projects within given timeframes.


Work well in a team environment and able to work with a diverse group of people.


Discretion and trustworthiness due to frequent contact with confidential material.

Education and Citizenship Requirements

Desirable: 05-06 years of experience w/High School Diploma or GED certificate


Required: US nationality/citizenship and residence, with verbal and written fluency in English.
